Week 1 Blog
Today we watched a short clip that I found very interesting in many different ways. It was obviously originally made on film and then turned into a digital format. I’m not 100% sure what kind of film was used, but it seemed like some that is readily available for anyone to obtain. There were many different colors, patterns, and shapes throughout the film that corresponded to the type of music that was playing in the background. Each time an instrument played a certain color and or shape would appear on the film. Whenever a new instrument was introduced I would notice that a new shape would be as well. The film could have been considered a music video, that was in a sort of avant-garde style. I also feel like the music could have been trying to portray some sort of emotions, which is further backed by the colors, patterns and shapes shown with each sound. If it was not trying to do this I think that the creator was trying to give a visual representation of sound
